Conscious Parenting workshopFrom homework, bed time, sibling rivalry and bullying issues to leaving for university, dating, and beyond – parenting can be an emotional roller coaster no matter how old your children are, bringing the stress of frustration, worry, guilt, and even self doubt.

Parenting is one of the toughest and most important jobs in the world and yet we get no formal training; we often parent from the unconscious basis of our own experience.

Did you know that your own inner child has a role in your parenting style?
Learn to notice how your own internal patterns are impacting your relationship with your child.

“ Your own life as a child is one of the strongest influences on how you parent today” – Robin Grille, Psychologist, Parenting Educator

This workshop focuses on creating an authentic connection with your child vs. managing your child’s behaviour. Based on decades of research which shows that a strong and healthy bond with your child is the foundation needed for him or her to be self-assured, empathic and resilient.

As a parent myself, I know how stress can build up and affect all the family members. Learning to parent “consciously” has been life changing for me as a parent. My children are now 17 and 20 years old, and our relationship has never been better. I am passionate about sharing my work with all parents out there because I know this works.

Spend less time stressing and more time loving. Learn the EFT technique for your own stress and worries, as well as how to teach it to your children. Plus listening skills, building rapport and developing empathy.

This workshop will address:

  • Calming young children having strong emotional feelings
  • Dealing with nightmares and fears
  • Issues with friends, bullying, isolation, feeling left out
  • Aches and pains
  • School/University stress, confidence, performance anxiety
  • Moving school, home or country
  • Helping children of all ages deal with stress in their lives

Helpful for you as a parent to address:

  • Building a closer bond and connection with your child
  • Recognising fears vs. values
  • Frustration with sibling rivalry, child’s behaviour
  • Anger with children
  • Exhaustion as a parent
  • Feeling like a bad parent
  • Not feeling connected to your child/children
  • Helpless with helping your child
  • Feeling alone as a parent

Learn to be consciously present with your children, recognise their needs, so they can effectively deal with life’s challenges and have the confidence and resilience to pursue their dreams.

“The greatest burden a child must bear is the unlived life of the parents.” – Carl Jung

Live your best life!

Are you living your best life? If not, what’s getting in the way?

Let me help you resolve stress, increase confidence, and live a life that is meaningful and satisfying to you.

Specialising in confidence and self-esteem, relief from chronic issues and recovery from trauma, I also help clients with stress, anxious feelings, low moods, relationship problems, grief, performance issues, phobias, life transitions and finding direction including career change.

Integrative Counselling
Incorporating fundamental principles of traditional talk therapy with somatic approaches, I will help you to address the full spectrum of your experience. I aim to create a safe, supportive, non-judgmental environment, so you can voice your concerns while feeling heard.

Research shows that ultimately our stresses and limitations are held not only in our mental narratives but also in our physical bodies, and that both, body oriented therapies as well as cognitive approaches are essential for healing, recovering and making positive life changes.

In my experience no single form of therapy is apt, or even adequate in all situations, and my integrative approach allows me to meet your specific and individual needs in our work together.

Physical symptoms, Chronic Pain:
My integrative body-mind-social approach enables me to work with you regardless of what difficulty you are experiencing. If you’re suffering from chronic issues and or physical symptoms and can’t find a solution or relief, chances are there are an underlying unresolved aspects. I work together with you to reveal triggers and work with pain so you can release energy and stuck tension in the body to allow your body to heal. As Dr. Gabor Maté says, “The physiology of one individual cannot be separated from the psychological and social environment.”

Workshops & Support Groups:
Working in groups can be a powerful way to access change within you. It can often bring new perspectives to help you see your situation a new light. Clarity brings new solutions. Sharing and listening to others helps to ease a sense of isolation as you build a connection with other members. Same as individual sessions, groups and workshops are confidential. Consider attending the 6 Week Support Group or consider getting together a group in your workplace or community, for people experiencing similar issues. A cost effective way of accessing support.
