Are you suffering from a chronic physical issue that you cannot get to the bottom of? Has it left you frustrated, overwhelmed, afraid, confused? A META-Health analysis can literally help to get to the bottom of it all, finding the root causes that keep symptoms chronic. With this knowledge we can take conscious action to allow for the body to self heal.

Our bodies are auto-regulating systems that are designed to heal naturally. If you cut your finger, the cut heals automatically – unless it is prevented from healing in some way. So why is it that some symptoms simply don’t seem to resolve?

What gets in the way of your body healing?

META-Health shoulder painWhen injuries, physical pain and illnesses recur or stay chronic over extended periods of time, there is usually some unconsidered aspect getting in the way. Healing can be impeded by unconscious thought patterns, beliefs, decisions, stressful environments, habits, as well as social lifestyle.

Recent, acute physical injuries (for example, a fracture, sprain or muscle injury) heal faster when any negative processes are recognised and released. This could be fear or trauma at the time of injury, any limiting beliefs, even worry or anxiety from receiving a diagnosis.

What if you knew exactly what needs to be resolved and to allow your body to heal fast?

META-Health is the science of body-mind-social health with a focus on how specific stress triggers, emotions and beliefs affect specific organ symptoms. It is about the interconnectedness of the body, mind and social environment and the art of self-healing.

To be META-Healthy means to be aware of your body’s intelligence, the stress triggers, emotions and beliefs that affect your organ symptoms and taking conscious actions for self-healing and personal growth.

My job is to be a detective and work with you to find root causes that are getting in the way of your well being. We work together to release any unconscious triggers (including thoughts and emotions) which may be keeping your symptoms chronic, so you can reclaim optimal health. As you resolve specific stressors and disruptions, you will go through a multi-dimensional transformation process, allowing your body to heal optimally.

    For those who are ready to start using EFT on a regular basis and looking for support, I’m running a new closed EFT group starting in February 2019. Meeting once a week for 6 weeks, each session will run for 90 minutes. Maximum 6 people.

    An opportunity to experience and practice EFT regularly and receive continuous support; to find relief from stress and worries, to begin a process of positive change for yourself.

Working individually with you provides the opportunity to support your specific needs and goals. Consistent yoga practice can help release tight hamstrings, rounded shoulders, an aching lower back or a stiff neck.

Do you go to the gym, or run, or play a sport? Yoga can help to stretch and align your body to complement your regular physical activities (a yoga practice will, in fact, enhance your physical performance). Practicing yoga brings more awareness to sensation, action and movement, enhancing connection, strength and flexibility.

I will lead you through a suitably paced practice to enable a fuller exploration of each pose, while releasing any tension held in the muscles and connective tissue of the body.

The class will include physical poses to enhance flexibility, strength and balance, breathing exercises to cleanse, detox and let go of stress, and some mindfulness meditation to access focus and calm. Instructed with props and options to support your individual practice.

About me teaching yoga:
An avid practitioner of yoga, I love to share my experience and knowledge with others. I see yoga as a way to connect inwards and relate to ourselves in a world that is constantly asking us to look to the external.

Yoga, for me, is a simple and effective way to release stress and tension stored in the body. Not just the physical, but also the mental patterns and emotional experiences we tend to store. These are the negative experiences we don’t or can’t process, which get pushed into the unconscious and can, over time, manifest physically.

Working with emotional and mental health as a counsellor, and with physical symptoms as a META-Health coach, I see in clients as well as in my own body, how this connection between mind and body is very real. Age old wisdom and philosophy has talked about it for thousands of years, and science is now proving it.

Having developed a consistent yoga practice since 2004, yoga has been my anchor, my release, my journey, my home away from home. I feel blessed to share my experience and welcome you to my classes.
