Working individually with you provides the opportunity to support your specific needs and goals. Consistent yoga practice can help release tight hamstrings, rounded shoulders, an aching lower back or a stiff neck.

Do you go to the gym, or run, or play a sport? Yoga can help to stretch and align your body to complement your regular physical activities (a yoga practice will, in fact, enhance your physical performance). Practicing yoga brings more awareness to sensation, action and movement, enhancing connection, strength and flexibility.

I will lead you through a suitably paced practice to enable a fuller exploration of each pose, while releasing any tension held in the muscles and connective tissue of the body.

The class will include physical poses to enhance flexibility, strength and balance, breathing exercises to cleanse, detox and let go of stress, and some mindfulness meditation to access focus and calm. Instructed with props and options to support your individual practice.

About me teaching yoga:
An avid practitioner of yoga, I love to share my experience and knowledge with others. I see yoga as a way to connect inwards and relate to ourselves in a world that is constantly asking us to look to the external.

Yoga, for me, is a simple and effective way to release stress and tension stored in the body. Not just the physical, but also the mental patterns and emotional experiences we tend to store. These are the negative experiences we don’t or can’t process, which get pushed into the unconscious and can, over time, manifest physically.

Working with emotional and mental health as a counsellor, and with physical symptoms as a META-Health coach, I see in clients as well as in my own body, how this connection between mind and body is very real. Age old wisdom and philosophy has talked about it for thousands of years, and science is now proving it.

Having developed a consistent yoga practice since 2004, yoga has been my anchor, my release, my journey, my home away from home. I feel blessed to share my experience and welcome you to my classes.

Sometimes you just need to talk, even if you don’t know where to start or what the problem is, exactly. I aim to create a safe, supportive, non-judgmental environment, so you can voice your concerns while feeling heard.

If you want to feel good about yourself, improve relationships, confidence, work performance, physical well being; I support individuals through new life path direction, trauma and PTSD, grief counselling. We can work together to resolve what is keeping you from living your life in a way that is most meaningful and satisfying to you.

Focusing on a mind-body-social approach, I incorporate EFT, Matrix Reimprinting, META-Health and yoga with talk therapy. I firmly believe that ultimately our stresses and limitations are held not only in our mental narratives but also in our physical bodies, and that both somatic as well as cognitive approaches are important for healing and making positive changes in our lives.

Physical symptoms:

My body-mind-social approach helps me to work with you regardless of what difficulty you are experiencing. If you’re suffering from physical symptoms and can’t find a solution, chances are there are an underlying unresolved aspects. I’ll be detective and work with you to find root causes that are getting in the way of your well being, so you can release triggers that may be keeping your symptoms chronic. As Dr. Gabor Maté says, “The physiology of one individual cannot be separated from the psychological and social environment.”

Workshops:

Working in groups can be a powerful way to access change within you. It can often bring new perspectives to help you see your situation a new light. Clarity brings new solutions. Working in groups helps to ease a sense of isolation as you build a connection with other members. The same as individual sessions, group sessions and workshops are confidential. Consider attending my monthly EFT tapping group or organising a group for people experiencing similar issues. A cost effective way of accessing support.


I hold a Masters in Counselling (Australia), am an Accredited Certified Advanced EFT Practitioner with AAMET, a META-Health Master Practitioner certification from IMMA, and am a registered yoga teacher (RYT®) with Yoga Alliance.
